Nominations are being accepted for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year awards presented by Womb Bermuda in conjunction with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation. Womb, which stands for “Women who Own and Manage Businesses”, said nominations close on October 31. Colina Outerbridge, business data and policy analyst at BEDC, said: “Bermuda has some amazing women who are crushing the entrepreneurial journey and our main goal is to not only recognise the talent but to celebrate their achievements throughout Bermuda.” Stephanie Lee, facilitator of Womb Bermuda, said: “Individuals are encouraged to nominate a business by completing the short nomination form. Persons can nominate more than one business, on separate forms. “Businesses are encouraged to have their customers, friends and family nominate them by sharing the nomination link.” She added: “It is a People’s Choice award; once nominations are received, those businesses nominated will be announced and the public is invited to vote for the winner.” Public voting will commence on November 3, and end on November 10. The top three nominees will be invited to the sixth annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Conference Celebrating HerStory, presented by the BEDC, on November 19 at Pier 6 complex on Front Street in Hamilton, where the winners will be announced. The event is a highlight of Global Entrepreneurship Week in Bermuda
